Sound insulation testing

Meeting regulatory requirements for sound insulation is essential for building projects, and is typically confirmed through testing in accordance with Approved Document E of the Building Regulations.

As ANC-approved sound insulation testers, we provide testing to objectively demonstrate the performance achieved in the completed building, confirming compliance with the relevant requirements and helping identify the cause where performance falls short.

Room acoustics measurements

Room acoustics measurements can be required for a range of reasons, including statutory or contractual approval and verification that  a space performs as designed. 

Measurements provide objective evidence of a room’s acoustic performance, allowing it to be assessed against the relevant design criteria, approval requirements or contractual standards. 

Our acoustic experts are recognised as  suitability qualified acousticians under BREEAM requirements, and carry out a wide range of compliance testing, including reverberation time measurements in accordance with the BS EN ISO 3382 series, and internal sound level measurements in line with relevant guidance standards.

Noise at work

Employers have a duty to manage occupational noise exposure in line with the Noise at Work Regulations 2005. 

Assessing occupational noise exposure is essential for identifying where employees may be at risk of long-term hearing damage and where additional control measures are required. 

We’re experienced in undertaking occupational noise surveys, including sample noise measurements and dose badge surveys, and provide advice on noise control measures. We have particular experience working in entertainment venues.
